A few things you can do for yourself right now:

When things around us feel like they are getting out of our control, it can be overwhelming and hard to handle. For a lot of us, things are out of our control now. A little self-care can help us control what we can– which is our own wellbeing and feelings. If you are able to, try these ideas to care for yourself.

  1. Take 3 deep breaths
  2. Take a shower
  3. Massage your temples
  4. Make yourself a cup of tea
  5. Take a walk
  6. Garden- hang out with some plants
  7. Disconnect fromsocialmedia for a bit
  8. Cook something fun
  9. Clean and tidy up your space (I find it helps to see the result of our efforts and cleaning an area is very satisfying)
  10. Do some stretches
  11. Call a friend
  12. Watch an old movie + have some snacks

Choose one or a few (or all!) and put yourself at the top of the priority list.

Self-care is important and you are important.
