Founded by Merry Kline in 2013, Belle & Blush is a candy land full of makeup, skincare, gifts, stationery, jewelry and experienced makeup artists and estheticians. In three short years, what started out as a small brick-and-mortar shop grew to include a successful e-commerce store, several exclusive brand collaborations and an expanded edit of curated luxuries.

3. The Market on Washington

Southern charm is abound when you enter the Market on Washington of Clarkesville, Georgia, a gift shop specializing in unique goods filled with
tradition, charm, and a hint of whimsy.

Owner Jen dreamt of having her my own shop for many years, and finally took the leap when the opportunity presented itself in the summer of 2017. Her dream was to bring a unique and colorful day-to-day style to customers and create an escape for the creative spirit who prefers to stand out in a crowd. A firm believer that gift giving is a love language, Jen is passionate about curating personalized gifts that are thoughtful and joyful.

With imaginative window displays and decors that surprise and delight, you’ll find whimsical items that somehow transport you to another place all while reminding you of the good and wonderful things at home. Each item in the shop, like our handcrafted bath bombs, are carefully curated, all with you in mind!

4. Little Swiss Chalet

Not far from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, you’ll find the gorgeous town of Redlands, California forested by famous orange tree groves. It’s also home to the most adorable handmade candle shop, Little Swiss Chalet.

In addition to their own family-made coconut wax candles, they carry a variety of unique goods from other artists, handmakers, and small businesses. LSC’s vision is to create a space where you can know you are shopping and supporting “small” on every level. Everything they offer, from vegan small batch skincare products (like Latika!), artist-made stickers and stationary, woman-owned jewelry companies, eco friendly housewares, natural cleaning supplies, essential oils, and even organic teas, coffee, treats, and specialty foods are all made by small businesses.

LSC also donates 1$ from every candle sold to the International Justice Mission to help support the battle against sex-trafficking. We love seeing a small business that finds creative ways to give back to important causes.

5. Aster + Gray

Welcome to Aster & Gray, a woman-owned, artisan boutique located in downtown Valparaiso, Indiana, that celebrates indie makers, small businesses and fair trade + ethical brands.

Aster & Gray got its roots in artisan markets. Founded in 2016 by Gabrielle Pazour, Aster & Gray began as a home-based creative outlet to repurpose and refinish furniture, hunt for vintage items and resell those items at markets.

The soon shifted the focus of the shop to ethically and sustainably produced goods, values that guide the store to this day.

Today, nearly 300 artisans are represented within Aster & Gray, from small local businesses across the US and fair trade brands around the world.
